Great Snow Job Japan
End of Season Road Trip Japan
Over the years many fantastic friendships have been formed amongst the Nozawa Holidays Team members throughout the ski season. We have even seen a few wedding bells and lots of endearing “bromances”! We are fortunate to bring together a fantastic group of people from all over the world with different skill sets, languages and personalities. They arrive as strangers and after 3 short months often leave as friends for life. Having shared a passion for the snow life, genuine hospitality and a new found love for all things about Nozawa Onsen.

There are always multiple heartfelt “Sayonara Parties” at the end of the season and certainly many say their final farewell’s and take off on a new adventure. Some set sail together for an adventure of a lifetime discovering Japan and all this unique country has to offer. This year we saw a unique Road Trip evolve when 3 great lads bought a piece of Japanese history in the way of the Honda Super Cub 50 Motorbikes. They did them up at the same time and hit the road. Nikki a Snowboard Instructor from the Isle of Man, Trent the Manager at Lodge Kaiya from Australia and last but no least Akira san one of the long term managers at Nozawa Holidays from Japan joined forces and set off on an adventure.
The Honda Super Cub is a pretty iconic Motorbike in Japan first Manufactured in 1958 and by 2017 Honda had produced over 100 Million of the bikes for sale worldwide, making it the most produced Motor Vehicle in history! Two of the founders at Honda wanted to produce a motorcycle that would appeal to everyone, that was good value and could be easily maintained. One of the early requirements was to make a 50cc bike that could be ridden with one hand. This was so that all the Noodle Shops in Tokyo would want one for deliveries of hot noodles.
