The snow just keeps falling in Nozawa
Boom another Magic Foot of snow overnight and the base now at 230cm the peak for the season so far. Full winter conditions out my window at the moment with snow still falling, cold temps and chilly winds blowing. It is going to be wild and wooly up there today but the powder treasures will be worth it. Yesterday was similar conditions and the heavy snow kept going all day. We received over 20cm throughout the day. Visibility is naturally limited but better towards the lower mountain. Which is lucky today as the Nagasaka Gondola is on wind hold. Looks like most other lifts and the Hikage Gondola will open but that does limit access to the upper part of the mountain. Good news is that means more untouched powder piling up for tomorrow.

🚡LIFTS IN OPERATION: Still sorting but looks like Nagasaka Gondola, Uenotaira and Yamabiko lifts will close for now
🌄RUNS OPEN: All lower runs, upper runs and skyline not accessible above Paradise
☃️ SNOW FORECAST:
This system keeps on giving today and even a little into tomorrow for Nozawa. Not as much today maybe another 15-20cm and then lighter snow and winds tomorrow Friday. Which may be the pick of the days, unless you like the sun and then you will be very happy on the weekend with all this snow and plenty of sunshine. Temps are remaining pretty cold for at least another week and at this stage we may see some more snow next Wednesday. Thermals and face masks the call for today and try and tuck into the protected pockets away from the wind. It is going to be deep in places and some amazing cold Japanese powder to enjoy.
