Purple Patch of Awesome Conditions
Another great day awaits in Nozawa as the magic of winter continues on the slopes. The storm from the night before bestowed upon us approximately 30cm of fresh snow. It felt even more in places and the snow under foot on the slopes was perfect. Off piste had a funky crust on top but the good stuff was below. Currently, temperatures hovering at a chilly -4°C at the summit, with light snowfall continuing to dust our already powder-laden terrain. It’s shaping up to be another great day with very few people to share it with. Didn’t line up once yesterday for a lift!
Wednesday is locals ski free day which is always great to see the community up on the slopes. You may even spot local legend and Apple farmer Yuji san up on the mountain. He grows all those huge delicious apples we eat at the Nozawa Holidays lodges for breakfast.
