Season’s Peak Revisited
Season’s Peak Revisited
Back to peak base for the season after another White Night
The snow gods have gifted us another 14cm of fresh up top overnight pushing the base at Yamabiko back to 230cm which is the equal peak this season. Think we should surpass that on Sunday morning all going well. Waking to a nice blanket of snow in the village this morning too. Not a lot down here as was a bit wet yesterday evening with temps in the village hovering just above freezing point so it didn’t really start settling until the early hours. Yesterday was another great March winters day on the hill and should be similar conditions today. Had the onsen to myself last night, the first time since early December, always a sign the village is slowing down. Should not be too much competition for first tracks or coffee this morning. See you at the Ski Locker.

❄️ SNOW FORECAST:
The light snow should continue all day and into tonight with about 8cm more expected and temps dropping into this evening. Tomorrow we should see a break in the snow with a little top up overnight. The mega dump from Friday night has actually backed off a bit on the forecast as I look at it this morning. Still about 40cm expected but looks like it won’t be as crazy as we thought, for better or worse. Temps expected to be around -10 or colder up top for the weekend so rug up if coming to visit. We should see the sun from Monday and a good dose of it next week for all those Spring Skiers who have been patiently waiting.
