A beautiful sunny day graces Nozawa Onsen today! Yesterday’s unfortunate conditions led to the closure of most lifts due to high winds midday, but today is shaping up to be much better. Despite the challenges, there was some excitement as snowfall was experienced up top at Yamabiko. Yesterday marked the beginning of our official spring skiing operation schedule on the mountain.
Key information for visitors includes the gondola opening time at 8:10 am and the eagerly awaited opening of Yamabiko C snow park on the 6th of April.

Snow report ❄️
Cool temperatures again this morning up top with a max expected of 0-3 degrees, warmer further down the mountain. This should keep snow coverage at the top to a premium. Moderate winds during the day again with cloud cover intermittent with sunshine. Warmer temperatures for Wednesday with light rain commencing into the afternoon and night with light southerly winds. Light northwesterly change again for Thursday with very light rain clearing also and cloud cover with temps lower just above freezing at the top and more comfortable in town. Friday is looking to be very clear with sunshine, cool temperatures and very light winds. The same also heading into the weekend for Saturday and Sunday also. Again enjoy the mountain for these spring conditions.
