The snow gods have given us a bit of a breather after the relentless storm that built up an impressive 385cm snow base at the top of the mountain! But just in case you thought the powder party was over, another fresh 40cm has settled across the resort since 3 PM yesterday. Yesterday was a dream for powder lovers—non-stop snowfall throughout most of the day, with the occasional burst of sunshine hinting at a slight shift in the weather over the next few days. Nozawa Onsen was buzzing with visitors making the most of some of the best conditions we’ve had this season! With fresh powder underfoot and improving visibility on the horizon, now is the perfect time to gear up and experience everything Mt. Kenashi has to offer.

More snow Monday and Wednesday night before a clear, sunny break on Wednesday morning and some bluebird days on the horizon for Friday and Saturday —perfect for enjoying the views! A warm spell on Wednesday may bring 0°C up top and possible rain in town, but another cooldown coming right after with some heavier snow clouds forming to keep things fresh and exciting.
