A sunny surprise in Nozawa Onsen
Mountain weather can be full of surprises! Despite a forecast calling for snow all day, Nozawa Onsen was sparkling under bright sunshine. Yesterday and today have been busy as ever on the slopes, with many visitors joining the weekend fun—no surprise given some of the best snow and conditions we’ve seen this season!
Last night’s night skiing at Nagasaka was a hit, and if you missed it, you have another chance tonight (Sunday)! Due to the upcoming Lantern Night Festival on March 3rd, Nagasaka Slope will be glowing with lanterns, fireworks, and an incredible torchlight ski and snowboard display—truly a magical event not to be missed! ✨🎿
As for the days ahead, we’ll see what the mountains have in store, but one last decent snowfall is expected tonight before a stretch of glorious bluebird days next week! ☀️ With all that sunshine, temperatures will climb, reaching up to 7°C at the summit, with westerly winds bringing a noticeable warm-up. So, grab your sunnies, shed a few layers, and enjoy the changing vibes in Nozawa! 🌞⛷️
