Arigatou Gozaimashita from Nozawa
The last lifts have turned for this winter in Nozawa Onsen. Thanks so much to everyone for coming and for a great season.
Another ski season wrapped up yesterday in Nozawa on Sunday May the 6th2018. We opened on Saturday the 25thof November 2017 so if you had skied every day since then you would have ridden a total of 162 days this season.
Almost 5 ½ Months or if stretch it a little and maybe do some of the Summer skiing that’s half a year. If you bought a season pass for 63,000 Yen it would have cost you just 388 Yen a day or about $4.50 a day, not bad value!
It was a long season for sure but was it one of our best? It was probably one of the best starts we have seen in a while and a terrific season with something for everyone just the tail end let us down a bit on the fresh snow front with March getting very little falls. Less than most locals can remember for about 30 Years anyway. March is usually some of our best conditions so lets hope it means we are in for a big March next year!
For anyone interested here is a little season wrap we did in February which will give you an insight to most of the dumps of the season https://www.nozawaholidays.com/news/snow-season-nozawa-onsen-wrap/
Anyway Stats aside we hope everyone that visited Nozawa this season had a great time. We really appreciate you coming and sharing your love of Nozawa with your friends. A big “Arigatou Gozaimashita” from all of us here in Nozawa Onsen. None of it would be possible without all the hardworking staff behind the scenes and in the front lines so a special thank you and “otsukaresama”to all of you across the resort, village, lodges, restaurants and stores.
Next winter will roll around before we know it and we really look forward to welcoming you again. If you have not booked already feel free to drop us a line to get a quote for another great holiday to Nozawa next winter.
