Waking up to powder Good morning everyone. Got to love waking up to fresh powder in the morning. Get up there and make the most of this amazing snow. The clouds rolled in yesterday afternoon and whilst we slept Nozawa was blanketed in snow. Conditions should be great all over the mountain with little wind and snow continuing to fall throughout the day. This is what we have been waiting for, a little later than expected, definitely worth the wait. Its not over yet with more snow on the way. Sunshine days here in Nozawa Onsen Good morning everyone.  A great day was had on piste yesterday.  Sunshine and blue skies for most of the day and some snowfall in the afternoon. Forecast is showing just over 10cm this afternoon with a chance of snow every day until Wednesday.  Looks like we have another snow front coming towards us next weekend.  Let’s hope the forecast hangs in this week and we’ll be powder hunting on the weekend. Looking good for the weekend Morning everyone.  A beautiful morning here in Nozawa onsen with a light dusting overnight.  Some light snow on the forecast today to get us ready for the weekend. We should see the heavy snowfall on Sunday and it’s looking like a good one with low winds.  Look out for those heavy snowflakes they are on there way. More snow on the way! We had a mostly sunny day yesterday with great conditions on Piste. Today it is predicted to be cloudy with light snow during the day.  Friday night will see the new snow front arrive which should see decent snow fall over 4 days.  Get ready for some epic powder days ahead, Have a great day up there, stay safe and we’ll see you on the mountain! A sunny day to finish off January A sunny day to finish off January What a surprise to wake up to yesterday with 50cm of snow.  Came out of nowhere and was very well received. It kept snowing until around lunch time when we saw the sun appear and the afternoon was magical. We woke up to a beautiful morning today! We are still looking good for this next snow dump due for Friday.  It’s looking like a solid 4 days of goodness. Get out there and enjoy this beautiful sunshine. Happy end of January! Nozawa at its best Good morning everyone!  Well what a way to wake up hey 🙂 fluffy fluffy snow fallen overnight.  There will be some shovelling happening today and even more fun to be had on the mountain!  Get your powder skis out we think they might be put to good use today! The village was blessed with sunshine yesterday just to remind us how beautiful Nozawa Onsen is. We’re still looking good for the weekend with a heap of snow predicted to start February off right.  We’ll keep you updated as the week goes on. Starting the week right in Nozawa Onsen If you were lucky enough to be one of the first up the mountain yesterday you were treated to Yambiko at it’s perfection.  Fresh powder, no tracks and glorious sunshine. 15cm is on the cards for today and 6cm for tomorrow.  The sun should be out a little more then last week with the temperatures still staying low.  Next weekend the larger dump is still predicted to hit around Saturday so we’ll see how those predictions play out this week. *Sunny* Sundays in Nozawa We’ve had a very snowy week here in Nozawa and as a special Sunday treat the sun is predicted to peak out today. No end in sight yet though.  Snow will continue to fall through tomorrow with temps dropping again. Next week sees the beginning of Feb starting off with a bang with a half of metre of snow predicted! Get out there, stay safe and have fun. The weekend is full of powder We had magic snow here in Nozawa yesterday and we woke up to snow again this morning so the powder will be easy to find.  Visibility will be clearer on the lower runs and we have a chance of seeing the sun tomorrow.  Light snow will continue throughout the week and then Friday should bring another heavy fall for the weekend. A little late but our January is finishing strong with now over a metre fall in the last week and will lead us in to a fabulous February.
