Being greeted by some sunshine this morning and a little bit lower temps than yesterday. Always hard to believe it is the last day of the season. Best place to visit Japan Golden Week and Silver Trees in Nozawa The long Japanese holiday is in full swing and plenty of people up on the slopes taking in the last skiing of the season. The beautiful Buna trees also put on a show giving us perhaps the last “Frozen Broccoli” scene for the winter. Natural Half Pipes Nozawa Nice in the Natural half pipes in Nozawa Coming to the very tail end of the season but still a bit of fun to be had up top at Yamabiko and banking side to side in the natural half pipes formed in the gullies up there. Great little clip by Saki san posted yesterday enjoying a beautiful day in the spring conditions. Not so pretty up there today with lots of fog and some rain. Best Runs Nozawa Onsen Yamabiko crossroads, run decisions in Nozawa Who remembers coming off the top chair lift in Nozawa the Yamabiko 4 and heading to your right and down this run? Endless opportunities await. You can go skiers left and head down to Skyline and ski the whole 7kms from top to bottom. Take a sharp right and head down the natural Half Pipe of Yamabiko.
