Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 18th of February 2021.
Beautiful morning here in Nozawa and this is the third day in a row the resort is reporting 15cm of fresh snow overnight. The base has pushed back up over the 3 meter mark and with very few people about plenty of fresh tracks to be found as you can see in the video from Yamabiko this morning. Nice cold temps making for very light snow and some bursts of sun in between the snow falls. Who would like to be on the chair today?

We probably didn’t end up getting as much as thought from this storm but today is definitely the pick and it is set to continue snowing all day. Up top is amazing but should be nice conditions all the way down to the village. Tomorrow morning is looking like a bluebird and light winds so worth getting up early. Once again a sun and fun weekend on the cards before the next front from Monday night.

Nozawa Holidays is the original team that introduced Nozawa Onsen to overseas visitors back in 2006. Nozawa is definitely on the map now but it is still a beautiful traditional Japanese town with amazing snow and well worth a visit. We have lots of guests that have been coming every year for more than 10 years now and we look forward to welcoming them back soon.
