Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 14th of January 2021
Who enjoys exploring the little laneways around the Village of Nozawa? This little corner is one of my favourites. Who knows where it is? There is an old house on the left with a beautiful garden and the path leads up to Kawahara Yu Onsen. The convenience store is on the other side and we often drop in for a cold beer with Kubota san the owner in Summer. The village also holds the awesome night Markets in June with great little stalls along the lane.

Feels like we are in a bit of a transition stage today. The powder probably saw the end of the best yesterday so today will be better for the groomers. Nice and sunny at the moment but snow clouds looming from the west and the weatherman predicts a bit of a dusting for the top this afternoon. Tomorrow will be full blown sun and warm so should be a fun day. Heard there is some live music on the deck at Mt Dock Gondola Cafe below the Nagasaka Gondola. Should be a good day for it.
Still shaping up to be a swift Siberian Change from Saturday Afternoon with freezing level dropping to the ocean and heavy snow expected.
