What a Weekend in Nozawa.

Temp at the top; -6 degrees
New snow since close; 30 cm
Base at the top; 290cm
Snow conditions; Amazing snow across the whole resort
Weather; Four seasons in one day dumping this morning and glorious sunshine now!
Yestertday was off the hook. Beautiful dry fresh powder after the morning snow and today was pretty much a carbon copy. We actually had 30cm or a “Magic Foot” of snow fall in the last 24 hours. 13cm last night and 17cm this morning. To top it off we had a festival in town last night with taiko drumming and junken to celebrate the long weekend. So good times in Nozawa for the fortunate ones that are here.
Looks like the sunny conditions are set to stay for a few days now so we didn’t quite hit the 3 meter base mark but we got close enough. With all this snow and not too many people about after tomorrow it is promising to be a fun week ahead.
