Snowmageddon in Nozawa Onsen
Another huge half a meter of fresh snow has landed on our heads again overnight. The base now smashing through the 2 Meter mark for the first time this season. To give you an idea at the end of January last season we were still just under the 200cm mark. The good or bad news depending where you stand is we are forecast to get almost another meter over the next 3 days!
TODAY:

❄️ New snow since yesterday: 50cm
🏔️ Base at the top of Nagasaka: 210cm
❄️ Snow conditions: Deep Powder everywhere
🌤️ Weather: Dumping !
⛷️ Runs: All runs open with the exception of Hachiman, Mukobayashi, and Challenge 39 degree wall.
🚡 Lifts: All lifts running with the exception of Challenge Pair and Utopia Pair
❄️ SNOW FORECAST:
Snow, snow snow – it just keeps coming. Heavy today and tomorrow and we will be looking forward to the chance of some sun on Sunday and Monday. A chance to take a breath and clear some of these massive walls of snow forming on the roofs around the village. But it will only be short lived with another massive system forming from next Wednesday where we could see another meter of snow again fall across the resort. 3 meter base may not be far off.
