Nozawa is not all about the Skiing
You can however ski most of the year if wanted to with the Summer Ski slope at Hikage. However this time of year the water is a big draw card and you can also experience SUP board paddling around Nozawa. Head to Hokuryu Lake, Chikuma River or the nearby Japan Sea and get on board. You can be any age to get stared and on the flat lake water it is relatively easy and relaxing to get the idea. Kenji san and the team from Nozawa Green field make it really easy.
- Tours start from 5000 Yen with boards
- Available from May to October every year
- Minimum 2 participants but can be up to 30 people
- Bring Swimmers, Towel, Hat, Sunscreen etc
- If looking for a bit more of a challenge and have some experience ask about the rapids on Chikuma River
