Boom! Heavy Snow on the way for Nozawa Onsen! There’s the upgrade we have been waiting for with good solid snow fall predicted starting tomorrow night and continuing as far as the eye can see! With the freezing level dropping and the dominant North West Wind patterns we love to see prevailing, it looks like the ” Winter Switch” should be fully flicked on from Tuesday. Resort reporting another 5cm of fresh snow up top so pretty much a copy of yesterday up in the slopes and with the sun coming out should make for some fun conditions up top. Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 1st of December 2017 Nice little fresh 5 cm fall on top and some sunshine!   Base at top: 35 cm Temp at Top: 1 Degree Base at Uenotaira station: 35 cm New snow since close: 5 cm Weather: Cloud coming in with Snow expected   As forecast we received some snow last night with 5cm falling across the resort and even a dusting right down to the Hikage area.   Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort Opening Groomed Perfection in Nozawa in November! The groomers have been busy pushing all that new snow into shape and the runs up at Yamabiko are looking fantastic. Heavy Snow Forecast Nozawa Onsen Ohayou Gozaimasu from Nozawa Onsen Check out this beautiful footage shot by Seiji san of the top at Yamabiko yesterday. The trees doing their pretty thing and the runs look ready to ski on. Snovember Nozawa Onsen Snow Report Farmers busy as the snow creeps lower in Nozawa Onsen! Waking up to a wintery day in Nozawa with fresh snow falling all the way down to just above the village overnight and more snowfalls expected today. Hovering just above 0 degrees in the town and – 6 degrees up at Yamabiko! Some sunshine expected tomorrow ahead of a “ Magic Foot” of snow expected on Saturday night, with cold temps and more snow expected for Sunday and Monday. Snowfall Snow-forecast Nozawa Onsen November It’s beginning to look a lot like we could be in for a White Christmas in Nozawa this year maybe even a whole month early! This shot taken at nearby Ryuoo Ski Park this morning ,there they are using the snow guns to add some man made snow to the naturally forming base there at current. The Resort are feeling confident that can open in just over 10 days on the 25th of November! Nozawa Onsen usually has the problem of too much snow most of the season so we don’t yet employ the use of snow guns at the resort.
