Although overnight totals aren’t significant, it is more than enough to top up the slopes to an almost clean slate. Expect the snow to be slightly wetter or heavier than usual attributed to the warmish (for this area) temperatures. One can assume for some good riding up top, such as the Yamabiko trees and pistes. Toumyo Matsuri, Winter Lantern Festival Tonight Saturday the 4th of March   Live in the Hikage Slopes Tonight is a special night in Nozawa Onsen since it is time for the annual Toumyo festival, also known as the “Lantern Festival”. The festivities will be held at the Hikage slope, starting at 7:00pm up until 9pm. It should be quite an enjoyable evening, with free sake, ice cream, live music and fireworks on the menu.
