Runs have reopened! Runs have reopened! Yesterday was a perfect day to hit the slopes, especially with Paradise and Uenotaira runs reopening! It’s been a few days since they were closed, making it all the more fun to carve some fresh tracks down them! Despite the season winding down, a handful of mountain restaurants are still open, allowing us to refuel on the go and make the most out of the remaining days on the slopes! Another busy weekend in Nozawa Onsen! Another busy weekend in Nozawa Onsen! Our Monday mornings this time of year feel like the calm after the storm. With two sunny, clear-skied days over the weekend and the opening of the new Yamabiko park, the town and mountain were bustling with crowds! After the overcast spell we’ve had recently it was no surprise to see so many people out and about soaking up the sunshine… Yamabiko park was a crowd favourite, with some excellent riding observed throughout the day. Time seems to stand still, allowing us to fully appreciate the transition of seasons. The dwindling crowds are offering all who visit a glimpse into the authentic local life here in Nozawa Onsen.
