The Golden Trail National Series Japan is coming on 17 July The Golden Trail Series is a world series of trail running races in which top athletes supported by Salomon compete, and this is the first time the series has been held in Asia. The hiking season is beginning in Japan Hiking on a clear day at Mount Nakakura. It was a wonderful ridge walk with pink flowers called Akayashio in bloom in May. Mount Nakakura is one of the mountains within Ashio Copper Mine in Nikko, Tochigi. Unfortunately this mine is also known for the mining poisoning incident, which is considered to be the origin of Japan’s pollution problems. This mine was closed in 1973, but thanks to the efforts of the people, the area is now green again and is one of the popular mountains in the Nikko area with climbers.
