The day actually started fairly cool but has warmed up under the sun. We are at that part of the season where it can feel like Green Season in town and the Valley but still a winter sports buzz up high. Nozawa Onsen Discounts Ski Japan Haru Yama or Spring Mountain has officially begun in Nozawa Every year at the end of March regardless of snow depth or the number of guests the Resort closes the lifts at the bottom of the mountain. That day and the start of the Spring Skiing Season started yesterday. You can still ski top to bottom on skiers right down Uenotaira, Paradise and on to the black runs or forest trail but under restriction not 100% sure what that means but probably just to take it easy. Cheap Ski Rental Nozawa Onsen Spring into the last weekend of March on Paradise. Shaping up to be a pretty good day on the slopes with cool temps and a bit of a dusting overnight. The forecast was calling for about 5cm but the resort not reporting any fresh snow this morning. The snow has been slushy but in general the good slush nice and fast crystals. Today may be a bit different with this cold snap. Very quiet on the slopes but a few racers practising their turns on the left side of Paradise slope. The sun has come out and making for a fun day on the slopes. A welcome change from yesterday which had low visibility and pretty marginal conditions. It was windy with light rain early, the wind has eased but the rain has intensified.
