Nozawa Amazing Season Ahead The Snow Gods have definitely come out to play in Nozawa! Still dumping in Nozawa this morning and we have smashed through the 200cm base up top and another ” Magic Foot ” overnight. Temp at top; -10C New Snow Since Close; 30cm Base at Top; 200cm Weather; Heavy snow and lots of Powder! Amazing cold deep fluffy powder across the resort yesterday and will be even deeper today. Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 29th December 2018 Fresh Snow Continues To Fall and Fall… As mentioned yesterday, we had what we might call a late start to the season. That’s all totally forgotten about now though! After the 35cm fall we awoke to yesterday, followed by the 30cm during the day, it has snowed some more. Right now, as of 9 am today, it continues to snow heavily, both on the mountain and in the village. Winter has certainly returned ladies and gents! Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 28th December 2018 Winter Has Arrived! If we compare this season to the early start we got last year, then perhaps we might feel like it has been a bit slow. Despite a few decent dumps and a healthy amount of snow up top of Mount Kenashi, we hadn’t seen what we coulc call “heaps”. Until now, that is… Officially, we got 35cm up top overnight (although there must have been about that much at village level) and more than 5cm since 8 am (as of 10:15 am). Magic Foot Back in Nozawa The Magic Foot is back in Nozawa! As was forecast we got hit with a huge Snow Storm in Nozawa overnight and the official reports are showing over a “Macgic Foot” with 35cm reported on the resort. Still dumping here and snow set to continue until Tuesday! Great to see Nozawa back to its old ways again! Cold Temps up top so rug up and go deep. Stay safe as it is a lot of fresh snow in places on not much base down low. Enjoy the powder in Nozawa and have a great day.

Nozawa Onsen Snow Report 27th December 2018 …And so it starts! There’s been a somewhat modest amount of snowfall on top of the mountain overnight. The good news, however, is that the 5cm we did receive is merely a small indicator of what is to come. Down here in the village it’s just started to fall over the past half an hour or so. Nozawa Onsen Snow Report Christmas Day 2018 We must have been good this year… Us folks here in Nozawa Onsen must have been well behaved throughout this year. Not only did Santa top us up with 5cm on Mount Kenashi overnight, but he also brought us crystal clear conditions early this morning. That’s before we even mention that there’s plenty to be excited about on the forecast. Thursday night looks as though it’s going to make Friday a pretty epic day.
