Cheap Long Stay Japan Amazing Autumn in all it’s glory in Nozawa Yesterday marked the last day of the Nagasaka Gondola Operation for the Green Season and didn’t Mother Nature put on a show. Amazing how fast the bright greens of Summer morphed into the rich reds, orange and yellows of Autumn. Truly spectacular to view the canopy from above as you ride up in the gondola. The glass bottom floors giving that extra Birds Eye view. Awesome time of year to be in Nozawa with great weather and not too many people about. We are doing some awesome long term deals too at this time of year. You could rent a two bedroom apartment for as little as 120,000 […]
Accommodation Nozawa Onsen
Car Parking Nozawa Onsen
Car Parking Nozawa Onsen Leave your car at home if coming to Nozawa During winter as many know Nozawa gets an incredible amount of snow. It is not uncommon to get up to 1 meter of fresh snow cover the village overnight. This combined with narrow roads and a lack of parking make Nozawa a much better town to explore on foot than by car. The beauty of Nozawa Onsen compared to many other ski resorts is that it is very compact and ski lifts, restaurants, onsens and everything are within easy walking distance. With the introduction of the Bullet Train to Iiyama just down the road a few years back and the Snow shuttle bus, public transport to Nozawa […]
Best Time Visit Nozawa
Best Time Visit Nozawa Red, Green, Yellow, Blue and White delight in Nozawa A few days ago all the colours came to life in Nozawa Onsen. Up at Yamabiko we received our first magic dusting of snow for the season and the way it united with the Autumn “Koyo” colours was spectacular. October is early to get snow in Nozawa and to be honest we are not really ready for it. Prefer to see some more of this beautiful foliage of the Autumn fall and get some great hiking in before the winter snow arrives. Best Time Visit Nozawa Looking at the forecast we may get another small dusting on Saturday night but it is not really time for snow […]

Powder Flowers Nozawa Onsen
Powder Flowers Nozawa Onsen Powder or Flowers which do you prefer? Another great Summer vs Winter contrast taken in the same spot down a small alleyway in Nozawa Onsen. The photos were taken 6 months apart and amazing the difference. The first with the snowy scene in late February and the second a week or so ago in the warmth of Summer. Up top next week could see the mercury drop as low as 3 degrees as the march into Winter begins. The beautiful fall or “Koyo” will start to unravel soon too and a beautiful time to explore the surrounding mountains. Nozawa Onsen Video
Nozawa Onsen Video Nozawa Onsen is a destination for all 4 Seasons Check out this fantastic footage of Nozawa during each of the unique and beautiful seasons of the year. It is said in the Village that once the Autumn Festival is over the seasons quickly change from Summer to Autumn and then closely followed by the magic snow and Winter. The last few days have been really hot still in town wth highs over 30 degrees so it is hard to imagine. Looking at the forecast however and can see sure enough a cool change is on the way and within a week we should see temps below 10 degrees up top at Yamabiko. Kind of looking forward to […]
