Snow Report Nozawa 2024 Sunday Slide in Nozawa Onsen Has been a magic first few days of the season on the slopes of Nozawa and still excited to be skiing in early December. Normally we are all eagerly waiting the start of the season. Conditions have been great, we had another top up pf 11cm of fresh snow yesterday morning and the trees and piste were covered in a pretty white layer. A few more people about for the weekend but a few ore runs open too. All of Yamabiko was open up and today Uenotaira slope will open too for the first time. So something for all levels. Skiing Nozawa Japan December 20cm of Fresh snow for Nozawa Yesterday the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort was reporting a beautiful 20cm of fresh snow falling across Yamabiko at the top of the resort. Checking the web cams this morning and it is nice and white all the way down to Paradise slope. https://nozawa-onsen.com/nozawa-webcams/ We even saw our first snow of the winter in the village yesterday afternoon. Best Time Visit Nozawa Red, Green, Yellow, Blue and White delight in Nozawa A few days ago all the colours came to life in Nozawa Onsen. Up at Yamabiko we received our first magic dusting of snow for the season and the way it united with the Autumn “Koyo” colours was spectacular. October is early to get snow in Nozawa and to be honest we are not really ready for it. Nozawa Do Pre Season
Nozawa Do Pre Season 20cm of fresh snow up in the Japan Alps Hakuba Sanso Lodge sitting at 2832m above sea level woke up to this amazing view yesterday morning. A decent 20cm of fresh snow settling on the deck. It was enough for the lodge staff to call the Hut closed for the season. Temps were sitting just below 0 egress but they are expecting a huge cold front from Friday night with the mercury up there dropping to as low as – 11 degrees and forecast of a whopping 75cm of fresh snow could fall up there. It is said in the Village that once the Autumn Festival is over the seasons quickly change from Summer to Autumn and then closely followed by the magic snow and Winter. Lift Prices Nozawa 2024 You can’t buy happiness but you can buy a lift pass. Ski Lift Pass prices for the coming season in Nozawa Onsen have just been released by the resort over the weekend. A slight rise this year of just over 10% across the board. The most popular 6 day pass will now set you back 35,500 Yen or just over 5,900 Yen a day. With current exchange rates for our Australian guests that comes to just under $AUD65 a day. Kids are 21,500 Yen for 6 days or about 3,600 Yen or the equivalent of about $39 a day.
