Last Days of Spring Skiing Last Days of Spring Skiing Todayâs thick fog on the mountain didnât stop anyone from enjoying the last days of Spring slush! Despite the poor visibility on the slopes and a chill that visited Nozawa this morning the freshly groomed runs made the trip up the mountain worth a while. Yesterdayâs condition of the snow was excellent for carving down the Yamabiko slopes similar to what weâre seeing this morning. Conditions however might change quickly turning the snow wet and slushy with temps on the rise from Thursday night. Perfect Climate in Nozawa Perfect Climate in Nozawa Have to say I love this time of year. Can ride around town on my bike in shorts, and still head up the hill to the snow for a few turns. Life moves pretty slowly at this time of year and the most activity is taking place on the farming plots as locals get ready to plant. The ski resort is open for two more weeks until the 6th of May.
