The resort has one of the best verticals in Japan with 1085m difference between the top and bottom. It faces directly to the Sea of Japan so picks up a lot of snow form the amazing Lake effect that drives that cold deep Siberian powder across our slopes. Breaking snow base records! December breaking snow base records!     We’re starting today with a misty morning blanketing the village, adding a mystical vibe to the village. Winds and snowfall are expected to pick up from midday, but hold tight—skies will clear later, setting us up for a stunning bluebird day to kick off your Monday morning. The snow base is looking incredible at 270cm, a massive leap from the 85cm we had on this same day last year.
