Perfect Ski days We had a beautiful blue bird day yesterday with clear skies and a little bit of cloud in the afternoon. Some fresh stuff predicted for us this evening, so we will be looking out for that tomorrow. There are 2 events over the weekend. Today, 6th of January we have a street festival near O-yu in the main street, starting at 7:30PM for about 2hours. There will be Sake tasting, Taiko drum performance and a Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament with prizes! Tomorrow Sunday, 7th of January at the Hikage ski slopes kids park from 1:30PM there is a Sled race with Nasuki the Nozawa Onsen mascot! So get down there with your kids and have a great time. The powder days continue A bit foggy around the village this morning. We should hopefully see the sun peak out through the snow showers though. Looks like we’ll get some snow today and tomorrow and most likely light snow continuing next week. Yesterday’s powder was fun for all in snowy conditions and after last nights fall get up there early to make some fresh tracks. Once again, Stay safe out there and have fun! See you on the mountain! JAP-POW!! Good morning everyone. 30cm of that amazing Japanese snow again overnight which means powder powder powder. Get up there early to get amongst the fresh stuff. Snow will continue to fall lightly today with around 10cm predicted. The sun should come out tomorrow afternoon before some heavy snow on Saturday. Stay safe out there and have fun! Powder day! What a fabulous day we had yesterday. Snow in the morning and an amazing blue bird afternoon. The powder gods have arrived with nearly 30cm of powder overnight and continuing through the day. Wax those boards, maybe even try out some new powder gear at one of the many rental shops in the village! Snow will continue to fall lightly tomorrow with the sun forecast to reappear on Friday. Heavy snow fall! Get your powder skis and boards out we are at it again! The snow began falling yesterday and will build through out the day, with the heavy snowfall expected tonight and tomorrow so you’ll be able to carve new lines in the powder all day. Remember there still is night skiing tonight and tomorrow night, then it return back to just Saturday night for night skiing. January is our biggest snowfall month and it has started off well, with the long range forecast looking good. Stay safe out there and have fun! Happy New Year We had a beautiful end to 2017 with an amazing clear sunny day on the slopes. Much fun was had with night skiing, and the fireworks were incredible. Night skiing will continue until the 3rd January. Light snow will start falling today building to heavy snow by Wednesday. Happy New Years everyone!!! New year’s eve celebrations tonight Happy New Years Eve Everyone! We’re looking at a slightly cloudy day today with snowfall resuming tonight. Conditions are still powdery so get out there and enjoy the last runs of 2017. New Years Eve tonight and there are some fun options for you around the village as we celebrate ‘O-shogatsu’ with the locals.
