The resort reporting another 17cm of fresh snow overnight bringing the total of this storm close to the 1 meter mark. It was coming down heavy in town last night. Yesterday the top of the mountain was not accessible due to wind hold on the Gondola. But today winds have eased, skies have cleared, lifts look all set to open and all that untouched powder awaits. We had a little top up of snow the night before and combined with what was blown from the machines gave good coverage on the upper slopes at Yamabiko. Enhanced with beautiful sunny conditions and very few people around made for an awesome Friday. This morning on the cams looks like a bit of a carbon copy. Temperatures seem to be the warmest of the week today, with light winds, so you can probably leave the extra winter layers at home.
