Base back at 400cm! Base back at 400cm!     Yesterday the snow just kept coming and big flakes too. I missed the update on what we got on top of Thursday nights 30cm but would have been a bit. Together with the 12cm that fell since the lifts closed yesterday and we have a huge 4 meter base with a nice layer of powder sitting waiting for the lucky ones today on the mountain. The sun was peaking out early and it is looking like a reasonably clear day ahead. Are we done with shovelling?   This morning in Nozawa Onsen, we’re waking up to overcast skies with occasional clearings, setting the stage for a mostly cloudy day with light snowfall expected throughout. With midweek in full swing, the slopes are noticeably quieter than the weekend rush—offering more space and freedom for those carving their way down the mountain. Yesterday brought mostly cloudy skies, but fresh snowfall in the afternoon and evening gave the resort a refresh. Yesterday’s early afternoon winds have settled, and after a day of heavy to moderate snowfall, the mountain is looking beautifully refreshed. Spring vibes but not for long! Spring vibes but not for long!   We’re kicking off March with perfectly clear skies and warm, springlike weather—an absolute dream for a day on the slopes! Last Day of Winter Last Day of Winter   Still waking up to -4 degrees and a massive 400cm base of snow up at Yamabiko. It has been a big winter and personally really looking forward to Spring and some magnificent Spring skiing. Even snowing on the sunny days Even snowing on the sunny days   Got a bit of a nice surprise this morning when opened my window to see some decent size flakes lofting from the sky. The weatherman had promised me sunshine. Dont think the snow will last or make much of a difference but pretty to see all the same. Best day of the season again 🙂 Best day of the season again 🙂   Depending on what kind of skiing you like we have had multiple amazing days over the whole season really but particularly the last few weeks. I love both snowy days and sunny days but after non stop snow it was pretty amazing to have a full blown sunshine bluebird day. The 16cm of fresh on top of all that snow helped too for perfect conditions across the whole mountain.
