Lots of fresh snow to report too with the “Snow Tap” turned firmly on and the Snow Gods delivering epic amounts of the fresh goodness! Big Snow Little Village Nozawa The Snow Show begins in Nozawa  Yesterday the first day of the season was lots of fun and everyone was impressed by the new modern high speed Nagasaka Gondola. It was a fun day up top on the slopes and great to get the legs warmed up for the crazy amount of snow we have coming.  It has just started to dump all the way down to town! Nozawa Resort Open 2021 Season It’s official Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort Opens Tomorrow! The slopes up top are looking ready, groomed and glorious. The new Gondola is running its final tests. The stage is set to get the 2020/21 Season underway in Nozawa.  The New Nagasaka Gondola will run from 8;30am to 15;30 pm starting tomorrow and deliver skiers and boarders to the top in just 8 minutes. Season Outlook Nozawa 2021 Siberian Express stopping in Nozawa  Quietly confident the resort should open next weekend but if not would say is definite a few days later.  Not a lot of fresh snow expected over the next week but come Monday it looks like Winter is going to let us know who is boss with a good old fashioned snow down!  Check out the forecast, freezing level is plummeting and Chill factor getting down to -26 degrees! Nozawa Onsen Snowmaking Snow Guns are poised and ready in Nozawa Snow expected for the top in Nozawa from tonight with around 15cm forecast tonight and into tomorrow. Not a bad sign and the better news is temps should remain pretty chilly averaging around -3 degrees for a few days. This is the first year in the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resorts over 100 Year history that they will be employing the aid of Manmade snow on the slopes. Early Snow Nozawa Japan Christmas may come early for Nozawa  Check out the forecast for the top of Nozawa over the next few days!  Winds swinging to that favourable Northern West bringing on a little Siberian snow storm. First Snow Nozawa Village Snow glorious Snow for Nozawa  As forecast we got brushed with a good little dump of snow in Nozawa last night. It snowed all the way down to the village and as can see from the photo has settled just above town on Kandahar Race Course. The fresh white coat always looks amazing when contrast against the reds and golds of Autumn.  Hard to tell how much we got up top but reckon over 10cm.
