A chilly morning in Nozawa Onsen today, with a gentle white sprinkle gracing the resort, setting the perfect scene for another epic day on the slopes. Despite the crisp air, plenty of eager riders lined up early at Nagasaka station, ready to carve through the pristine mountain tracks. Yesterday’s overnight snowfall made for fantastic conditions, and with fresh powder still around, it’s a great time to hit the slopes and enjoy the magic of Nozawa!
But that’s not all—today we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nozawa Onsen’s beloved mascot, Nasky! 🎂🐻 Join us at Hikage Slope from 11 AM for a fun-filled event, including a traditional sake barrel, soft drinks, and some exciting special guests! ❄️ SNOW FORECAST:
Heavy snowfall predicted to turn moderate throughout the day, keeping the slopes refreshed. Temperatures remain cold, with lows dipping well into the negatives, ensuring great snow quality. More light snow is in the forecast through Monday, followed by plenty of sunshine starting Tuesday—perfect for bluebird days on the mountain! Towards the middle of next week, temperatures drop again, bringing another significant snowstorm from Tuesday night into Wednesday, promising fresh powder.
After a chilly day on the slopes, there’s no better way to warm up and unwind than soaking in Nozawa’s famous onsens—a true treat for tired muscles! With incredible skiing conditions and beautiful sunny days ahead, it’s shaping up to be an amazing week in Nozawa Onsen!
