☀️ Good morning from Nozawa! The village and mountain are bathed in glorious sunshine this morning, making it the perfect time to hit the slopes and soak in those incredible views. But don’t let this calm start fool you—clouds are predicted to roll in around midday, bringing a fresh blanket of snow later today 🌨️ Forecasts suggest consistent snowfall throughout the week, with the base up top likely reaching an impressive 3 meters soon.
Yesterday was nothing short of magical, with crystal-clear skies, amazing visibility, and plenty of skiers and snowboarders enjoying the sun at the scenic spots of Mt. Kenashi. If you missed it, don’t worry—the coming snow will bring its own kind of magic. Get ready to carve those powdery turns!

SNOW FORECAST ❄️
Today on the mountain, temperatures at the summit are slightly warmer than usual thanks to the sunny conditions. However, get ready for a major cooldown as temperatures are set to drop significantly from Tuesday night onwards. Daytime temperatures on the slopes will hover around -5°C to -10°C for the rest of the week, keeping the snow light and soft.
Consistent snowfall begins tonight, with moderate to heavy snow expected throughout the week. Tuesday and Wednesday will deliver the heaviest dumps, with up to 50 cm forecasted in a single day.
Winds will pick up midweek, reaching moderate to strong levels, so be sure to layer up and prepare for brisk conditions on the lifts. It’s shaping up to be a week of fantastic conditions!
