“Bluebird Bliss” arrived in Nozawa
A stunning morning here in Nozawa Onsen! The village and the mountain are blanketed in pristine white after 24cm of fresh snow fell since yesterday, bringing the base at Yamabiko to a solid 75cm. All Yamabiko runs (A, B, C, D, E) are now open, along with the much-anticipated Uenotaira slope – it’s shaping up to be a perfect day on the slopes.
Yesterday was magical, with snowflakes falling over Nozawa throughout the day, creating incredible conditions. Take advantage of today’s sunshine and the peaceful atmosphere before the village starts to buzz with arriving winter holidaymakers. Make the most of this serene and powder-filled days!

A moderate snowfall midweek will top up the base, followed by two larger systems that could bring another meter of snow.
