Calm after the storm in Nozawa
Calm after the storm in Nozawa
A calm morning greets us after an eventful night in Nozawa! 🌤️ The clouds are giving way to the sun, which promises to shine brightly by midday—perfect for a lunch with a view at Paradise Slope! Yesterday’s strong winds worked in our favor, blowing snow around and helping everyone keep the snow height in the village under control. Now the winds have calmed, and the Nagasaka Gondola is back on track to take you swiftly up the mountain. 🚠
Up top, the snowpack has grown to over 1.5 meters, with 27cm of fresh powder since 3pm yesterday waiting to be enjoyed. Even better, another top-up is expected tonight! ❄️
For those exploring downtown, be mindful of icy roads and walkways caused by fluctuating temperatures. Stay safe, take it slow, and make the most of this beautiful day! ✨
