On Monday last week, Japan honored Umi no Hi, a special holiday dedicated to appreciating the blessings of the ocean and its role in our lives. This national holiday is a time for Japanese people to reconnect with the sea, reflect on its importance for our environment, and celebrate maritime traditions.
