December Snow Update Nozawa
Back in business on a Monday morning
The gondola is now up and running after a few days on hold. We didn’t get as much snow as hoped for especially in lower parts of Nozawa but enough up at the top to get back on track! The snow should keep on building up throughout the day and hopefully in the near future we can expect more slopes to re-open with big snow dumps expected from Thursday afternoon. For today it is just Yamabiko D course an intermediate run and for beginners can do a bit of walking on the slope next to the gondola to get your feet and maybe venture up on Yamabiko 4 lift.

☃️ SNOW FORECAST: Snow should continue to fall throughout today then a two day break and more coming from Thursday onwards. Friday should provide us with a heavy coverage of snow all over Nozawa. Looking at the 12 day forecast we’re expecting below 0 temperatures during the day and night dropping down to -12. for the top. Definitely feels like winter in Nozawa now and more Siberian chills on the way. Since typing this the snow has really kicked in. We’ve probably got about 5cm of fresh in the last 10 minutes. Good to see Nozawa Onsen back to its old ways, if it keeps falling at this rate, could be a powder day tomorrow.
