Emperors Birthday Holiday Nozawa

Yesterday must have felt like everyones birthday in Nozawa. What an awesome day. The sun was out, the trees were magic and the snow was on point.

Another awesome day of powder in store for all those heading up the mountain. With so much having fallen in the past 72 hours there is still so much powder to be had. The groomers will be perfect for carving and powder on the sides or in between the trees.

Today should be a bit warmer than yesterday with a chill factor in the high negatives of -7, with minimal wind. Visibility on the mountain should be great again today with no snow predicted throughout and the sun should grace us again into the afternoon.

FORECAST:

The forecast is showing promise with a new front rolling in Friday night with 15cm + expected throughout the night, leading into Saturday with constant snow showers easing off Sunday midmorning. The front will be accompanied with light to moderate winds from the NW, once again pushing that chill factor to lower negatives of -20.
