As I am writing this post, I’m watching the snow start to fall outside the window—the white comeback is here! Passing by Nagasaka Gondola Station this morning, the line was buzzing, filled with skiers and snowboarders eager to hit the slopes. It’s the start of the weekend, and the resort is expected to have a lively atmosphere, so plan ahead and give yourself extra time to get where you need to go. Yesterday brought mostly cloudy skies with occasional snow dustings, while the lower slopes softened up with a touch of slush from warmer temperatures. But today, we’re back on track! Cooler weather and fresh snowfall are here to set the stage for an epic day on the mountain, with more snow expected to keep piling up. Get out there and enjoy the magic! ❄️🏂⛷️

This week in Nozawa Onsen, temperatures on the mountain will range from -5°C to -12°C, with colder conditions at higher altitudes. Fresh snowfall is expected daily, peaking midweek with heavy snow showers, bringing excellent snowy days! Winds will vary but could reach up to 40 km/h at times, so dress warmly and prepare for potential lift delays. Visibility might be reduced during heavier snowfalls, so take care and enjoy the fresh tracks!
