After a couple of cloudy days in Nozawa Onsen, today’s anticipated sunshine is warmly welcomed by all. With 2m of snow still covering the top, there’s plenty of fun to be had. In town, it’s shaping up to be a perfect day to enjoy some outdoor activities like having ice cream or soaking in a foot onsen whilst taking in the fresh spring air. Today, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with intermittent very light variable winds that may pick up slightly towards the evening. Temperatures at the summit will hover just above 0 degrees Celsius, while it will be slightly warmer further down the mountain. Tomorrow’s forecast mirrors today’s conditions, with slightly higher temperatures and gentle winds blowing from the west. Looking ahead, Sunday will bring even warmer temperatures reaching around 7 degrees Celsius, accompanied by abundant sunshine. Monday continues the trend with a forecast of more sunlight and the possibility of light rain late in the evening. By Tuesday and into next week, we may experience a shift to warmer north-easterly winds, potentially bringing more rain showers. Despite the changing weather, you can enjoy another fantastic spring day on the slopes without having to navigate through large crowds.
