KNOWING THE SLOPES NOZAWA
The sun has come out!
The weekend produced Snow dumps at an impressive consistency seeing 120cm of fresh snow fall from Friday night. The base now sits at 315cm as we come to the end of February and head into Spring.
KNOWING THE SLOPES NOZAWA
The clouds are set to roll out throughout the morning and with sunshine expected throughout the day. Winds have eased off since last light and the temperatures on top of the mountain are back in the low negatives of -3 with the wind chill sitting relative. In town it’s a different story with temperatures set to creep into the low positives with a max of 5 degrees predicted this afternoon. Sitting at -1 currently. Visibility will be perfect on the mountain, so head to Skyline to catch a gorgeous view of the Nagano Prefecture.
Heading up the mountain for the first time can be a little daunting at times if you don’t know your way around. There is a lot of ground to cover and when you’re on top of the mountain it can be a little hard to navigate. If you want to get familiar with the slopes before you head up you can check out our course information here; https://www.nozawaholidays.com/ski-resort/course-information/

The forecast on top of the mountain is showing Tuesday and Wednesday to be rather the same as today with temperatures being a little warmer at 1 degrees with light winds. Wednesday late evening we should see a small front roll over Nozawa with winds picking up from the evening into Thursday with 13cm+ to fall on Thursday and temperatures to settle back into the negatives, which is exciting for spring. In town we are set to see much the same but temperatures are set to rise to around 5 – 10 degrees throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.
