Today we bid farewell to the month that was, it seems appropriate to take a moment to recap on the remarkable March we have had for snow conditions! While it’s not unusual to see a few dumps this time of year, this March was truly exceptional, adding the cherry on top to our 2023/2024 winter season in Nozawa Onsen. This month we reached our peak of 310cm! Smashing it through the 3m mark for the season. Many days we were experiencing fresh tracks at 3pm! Leaving some guests scratching their heads as they prepared to be spring skiing. Towards the end of March, we were greeted by some spring skiing conditions as our days got warmer, and our snow quality slushier. T-shirt weather was even embraced by a few! As April begins, expect changes on the mountain: lower lifts and runs closing as we shift to spring conditions (see below). Spring prices reduced today! Check the link for details.

🌄RUNS OPEN: Yamabiko, kogemu slope a & b, Uenohiro, paradise, forest trail, forest shortcut and bear hawk course.
Snow report ❄️
Is there going to be snow on the forecast? Maybe it’s April fools? Very light snow showers forecast for during the day today at the very top of the mountain including light to moderate westerly winds. Temperatures below 0 with a further wind chill. Periods of sunshine and cloud cover throughout the day. Tuesday will warm back up but still cool up top with again light to moderate westerly winds with intermittent periods of sunshine and cloud cover. Light southerly change expected for Wednesday warming further up top. Another shift to north west with cooler temperatures for Thursday and Friday, between overcast and sunshine. Stay safe out there for some April riding up there.
