MARCH POWDER NOZAWA ONSEN
The Powder and the Glory!
Waking up to blue skies and fresh snow is pretty exciting for March. With less crowds on the mountain, there will be plenty of stashes of powder to ride throughout the day, and with this sunshine, the day couldn’t get any better.
As the day progressed yesterday snowflakes got bigger and more of them came down. It was dumping late in the afternoon. With 20cm fallen since close of lifts yesterday, putting the base level back over the 3 metre mark. A Spring powder day for us all! To check out the awesome conditions head to the live web cams of the slopes in Nozawa; https://nozawa-onsen.com/nozawa-webcams/
With the sun coming out first thing this morning, today will be an awesome day on the slopes. The few clouds are set to subside throughout the morning, giving us a bluebird powder day! Winds are set to ease back into light and variable with temps sitting in the negatives around -4 and relative wind chill. Visibility on the mountain will be terrific with views of the snow covered Nagano prefecture on offer showing herself in all her beauty.
If you’re keen on venturing out in to the powder but you’re not super comfortable in the different snow conditions, Nozawa Holidays has an awesome team of ski and snowboard instructors who can teach you about riding in powder. Powder is a completely different ball game and a little assistance can go a long way to get you shredding like your favourite skiers and boarders. Even if you just want to improve your carving and style on the groomers, our team is here to help.
