Nozawa’s Late Season Game-Changer
Nozawa’s Late Season Game-Changer
Waking up to another 20cm of fresh snow overnight. Total of this Siberian Snow storm to 75cm and changing the landscape here in a few short days. Last week I was gong to hang up the powder planks for the season, this morning they are waxed and waiting at the door step as the snow continues to fall here in Nozawa.
Yesterday snowed all day and was fantastic and today could be even better. Tracks were getting filled and the bottom was soft as we lapped the courses up at Yamabiko. The added bonus of this time of the season is there is not too many people about to share it with. Think there will be a few in the gondola line this morning though as the local powder hounds come out to play. It is going to be epic so get your coffee fix and get going, see you up there. Locals ski free today, good timing!

❄️ SNOW FORECAST:
The snow should ease this morning and we may even see the sun later today all of which is going to add to a perfect day ahead. Tomorrow should see cloud cover but no snow until the evening where we may see a few cm to keep it fresh. Friday night however kicks up again, temps are plummeting and another 30cm or the “Magic Foot” has been ordered. That should set the stage for a perfect weekend in Nozawa, so if your brain has switched to Spring with March knocking on the door you better reconsider and come on up for some skiing.
