Good morning from a winter wonderland! 🌨️ It’s snowing heavily here in Nozawa Onsen, with big, fluffy flakes layering the village in white magic. The snow is expected to continue until Thursday night, easing into light snow this afternoon—perfect conditions to hit the slopes or enjoy the serene beauty of the village.
Yesterday brought us a mix of clouds and sunshine peeking through, creating a stunning backdrop for skiers and snowboarders. With negative temps keeping the snow light and fresh, it was a dream day on the mountain. The snow base up top is sitting at 115 cm with 10 cm of fresh overnight—and it’s going up fast! All lifts are running smoothly today with the same courses open, and even more of the mountain is set to open in just a few days. Exciting times ahead!
Christmas is just around the corner, and we couldn’t ask for a better forecast to celebrate the season. Starting Saturday night (the 21st), a massive snowfall is expected to roll in and continue through Tuesday morning—guaranteeing a powder-filled holiday! 🎄❄️
