Snowfall January Nozawa Onsen
Stepping into a winter wonderland in Nozawa
The snow began falling in Nozawa and should keep on going all the way until Friday! Forecast is looking very promising with nearly 50cm of fresh snow at the top expected for today and continuing over the next few days, hopefully transforming everything back to deep winter. The snow base at 1400m remains the same as yesterday at 175cm but this will change quickly and by this time tomorrow hopefully we smash back through the 2 Meter mark.

☃️ SNOW FORECAST:
Hold on to your Beanie as the next few days should be a pretty wild winter ride. The much needed snow should arrive in buckets and by Friday morning we could see up to 1 meter of fresh snow fall across the resort. Temps also going super cold and with strong North West winds blowing across from Russia wind chill will be in double minus digits. Hopefully the wind does not close the gondola but have to wait and see. Thursday morning looks the strongest but all the bottom lifts should be operational with plenty of powder for the hounds. Stay warm, stay safe and enjoy the Siberian chill factor in Nozawa the next few days.
