SPRING HOLIDAY NOZAWA ONSEN
Another dump here in Nozawa Onsen!
Waking up to a “Magic Foot” plus of fresh snow in Nozawa this morning with the upper slopes being graced with 35cm of snow overnight. The base once again smashing through the 3 meter mark sitting at a respectable 320cm this morning.
All this snow fares well for a good Spring Skiing season. March and April are fantastic months to visit Nozawa and take advantage of the sunny days, fun spring snow and way less people on the slopes and in the restaurants. Winds are blowing in from the NW pushing that cold Siberian wind in with it forcing colder temps on top of the mountain, with the wind chill sitting around -18 for majority of the day. Winds will be stronger than yesterday, so rug up. Depending on how thick the snow showers are visibility will still be decent on top of the mountain.

Forecast is showing light snow showers throughout the day looking to clear sometime tonight or Monday morning. Monday is looking promising with clear skies and light winds along with warmer temps on the high negatives. Followed by Tuesday looking much the same but temperatures are set to rise past 0 degrees into the low positives.
