Spring Like Vibes in Nozawa
Strong winds with warm temps today and a cooldown on the way
A bit of a windy one up there on the mountain today, enough to put the gondolas and lifts servicing the higher parts of the resort on hold. So, if you were planning on sending it up to the summit, might want to hold off for a bit and enjoy the lower part of the mountain for now with plenty of lifts and runs still in operation. Thanks to high temps and quite a bit of sunshine this morning the snow condition on the slopes could be soft, making any falls more enjoyable. Yesterday had a perfectly clear sky weather and springlike vibes up on the mountain with many having best time on the slopes and enjoying favourite restaurants across the resort. The forecast looks promising from Wednesday onwards with temps cooling down and good amount of snowfall should cover the mountain in fresh white once again. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts as we’re only a few days away from getting back into the magic of winter wonderland!

🚡LIFTS IN OPERATION: Nagasaka and Hikage Gondola Lift with Yamabiko’s and Uenotaira suspended due to strong winds.
🌄RUNS OPEN: Lifts and runs in the lower part of the mountain remain in operation. Challenge Pair and Utopia Pair also working smoothly.
❄️ SNOW FORECAST:
Despite the breeze, temperatures at the peak have been climbing, hitting around 5 degrees Celsius. That’s softened up the snow a tad, especially down low. Don’t get too comfortable with the warm weather, changes are on the horizon starting tomorrow. We’re looking at a significant drop in temperatures especially from Wednesday night and some good ol’ snowfall headed our way. Winter’s making a comeback, and she’s bringing the good stuff! So, while today’s winds might have slowed things down up high, the promise of fresh powder is enough to get any snow lover’s heart racing. Keep an eye on those weather reports, and get ready to get back on track as conditions improve over the next few days. Stay safe out there and enjoy the snow!
