The Calm After the Snow
The Calm After the Snow
The calm after the storm… Yesterday was a day for the books… The 15cm top-up we received overnight, in addition to the consistently cool temperatures allowed the conditions to stay fresh throughout the day, with some epic powder turns shared around. All this snow setting the stage for a picture-perfect spring weekend here in Nozawa. There’s still plenty to explore from the aftermath of this week’s storm, so stay safe and enjoy your weekend! To the young families participating in the Naski family sport day today good luck and have fun!

Snow forecast ❄️
Today’s sees a light dusting of fresh snow again at the top with temperatures hovering around zero this morning. The weather man is telling me we may see some rain in town but it is still pretty cold down here this morning. Winds from the south, moderate initially today and becoming light later and remain very light for as far as can see in the coming week. Freezing level holding around the 2000-2500 m metre mark until another shift expecting moderate snow for up high commencing Monday night into all day Tuesday. Temperatures staying low into Wednesday and Thursday. Can see however finally a Spring shift in the temps, which is almost welcome. We should see some sunny spring days ahead with plenty of base still to enjoy this amazing March. Stay safe out there and have a great weekend in Nozawa.
