Spring Like Saturday Nozawa
Earlier this week, a Siberian snowstorm blew an icy chill through our village, but yesterday provided a taste of Spring! It was a gorgeous bluebird day. We saw warmer temperatures in the lower degrees, and the sun graced our view for the duration of it. It was an excellent day to be out riding, getting those turns in with views all the way over to the Sea of Japan.
The latest forecast has seen things improve with the next Snow dump starting from tomorrow. We will still get hit with some rain tonight into tomorrow with these warmer temps however the winds will swing favourably from the west about lunchtime Sunday. With it a cool change that will see snow for the upper slopes begin to fall. Down in the Village the snow machine probably wont start up until Monday morning, then by Tuesday temps are back to Freezing at sea level so nice and cold.

SNOW FORECAST:
A bit of a mixed bag ahead for the weekend with Sun then rain and turning to snow from tomorrow. Monday morning we’ll see that light snowfall continue and as the day goes on, the temperatures drop further and the snow will get even heavier. At least a magic foot (30cm) is forecast to fall overnight on Monday. The snow will continue into Tuesday, where another 15cm of snow is set to fall. After this week’s snowfall predictions being blown out of the gate, this system may also turn into something a lot bigger than expected. Let’s cross our fingers!
For ho get up there and soak in all this glorious sunshine while it lasts.
