Sunday Snow Show in Nozawa
Waking up to some serious saucer size flakes in the village this morning. A little unexpected which always makes it that much more exciting. Went down for my morning onsen and it was snowing lightly, came out and the flakes had grown considerably. The flakes were nice and light and it is a chilly -5 degrees up top this morning. A quick check of the web cams and the trees up at Yamabiko are doing their winter thing. This fresh snow on top of yesterdays snowfall will make for a great winters day up on the slopes. It is set to clear throughout the day ahead of snow tonight getting real heavy tomorrow

Temperature up top: -5 degrees
New snow since close: 3 cm ( Must have had about 15cm yesterday)
Base at top: 185 cm
Snow conditions: Snowing nicely with big flakes should be great conditions up top
Weather: Snow easing to some sunshine later today for a perfect Sunday!
Yesterday the snow kept falling all day. It didn’t settle much in town until this morning but added 10cm to the base up top. Tomorrow however things start to get serious with a possible half a meter for fresh snow expected. Temps also getting a bit of a Siberian chill about them so looking like a great few days ahead for Nozawa.
