Dusting for the top in Nozawa
Waking up to a fresh morning here in Nozawa and the thermometer at my front door is reading -1 degree. Looking up to the mountains and a nice dusting of snow is blanketing the upper slopes just above the village. We got hit with rain in town but the freezing level was only a bit higher so the top slopes would have received a top up of fresh snow.
It is mainly a top mountain game now anyway and can no longer ski top to bottom. Still 175cm base up top and a chance for more snow on Saturday night with 15cm forecast. Will be nice up top and can ski all the way down to the mid station and Paradise then download on the Gondola at the end of the day. Stay safe and have a great day. Sunshine expected tomorrow.
Know it is very hard for anyone to get here now and you should not really be travelling, but if in Japan and looking for a nice place to ski Nozawa is still open and very quiet on the slopes. Kaiya Nozawa is doing some great deals
